The DataScience@UB group, the founding member of the BCN.ai initiative, was born with the aim of turning Barcelona into a center for debate, discussion and reflection on Artificial Intelligence.
Cajamar UniversityHack 2017 is the largest data analytics competition in Spain. The event was specifically aimed at students from the best training centers in Data Science of Spain. In this edition have participated 130 teams of 13 selected universities. Participants could attend one of the proposed competitions: “IBM Card Analytics” and “Microsoft Predictive Modeling”.
The Random6 team, made up of Alexandra Abós and Xisca Pericàs, , was the winner of the “Microsoft Predictive Modeling” competition, and the Visual Mineros team, formed by David Solans, Biel Stela and Ignacio Pérez , Also students of Data Science of the UB were in second position in the competition “IBM Card Analytics”.
DataScience@UB is part of the team led by the startup 8Wires, which has obtained a contract of 75,000 euros in the first phase of the call for the European Live Incite competition, which leads the Swedish Hospital Karolinska, along with other hospital centers like the Clinic of Barcelona.
